Students from 2D secondary school got to describe some interesting objects they have at home. They also shared family memories and feelings together with their stories.

My most treasured possession is a shirt that my grandfather left me. He told me before he died that this shirt was going to be mine. I don’t know how many years that shirt has and where it is, the only thing I know is that this shirt is in my house. I saw him many times with this shirt and when he told me that this shirt would be mine I was very happy. I can use it because it’s very big, the shirt is made of cotton and is white.I have another gift that he gave me and it is a mermaid Barbie with blue hair that I have had since I was 4 years old.

My most treasured possession is a Piggy bank, which used to belong to my great-grandmother. It was given to me a few days after the Winter-holidays in 2020, by my Grandmother, because my Great-grandmother passed away, and I wanted to have something of her. It is a blue and white pig, where I keep many coins. I don´t know where it came from, but I have heard some stories about it. For example, my great-grandmother used to collect many coins in it, and sometimes when my dad visited her, he stole some of them, but without her knowing, since she didn’t want anybody to touch it.

My most treasured possession is an old phone. It used to belong to my grandfather. He bought it in Germany many years ago and he gave it to my family as a memory. It was used in Germany in the 1st World War in 1914. Soldiers or radio operators sent messages to each other. It’s covered in leather, it has a metal stake and it has a board of wood with a metal phone. It is in the living room as decoration.

I have 2 old treasured possessions, they are old cell phones, a Motorola Razr v3 and a Sony ericsson F305. I keep them because I like cell phones. My Grandparents gave it to me because they didn’t work anymore and they know that I like cell phones. These cell phones are 20 or 15 years old and they are very interesting because the Motorola can fold like the new Samsung Z fold 2, and the Sony when you swipe it a keyboard appears.

The phones are very simple, they are made of plastic and metal. It is amazing how cell phones evolved because before they could only send messages and make calls, today you can do everything. I’ll keep them well and maybe one day sell them as an heirloom.
